The State Adjarian Art Museum is a landmark place that allows quite quickly (the size of the exposition is not too big), but detailed get acquainted with the treasures of the new Georgian culture, not together with beach holidays.
The museum is located in a Stalin-era building, rare for Batumi. By the architect Kakha Javakhishvili. And the main artistic values of Adjaria were placed here in 1998. Before that, there was also a museum in the monumental building. Although it tells the story of the revolution of 1917.
The decoration even preserved bas-reliefs dedicated to the events created by the Georgian sculptor Tamara Abakelia.
