The opening of the Dolphinarium in the city of Batumi took place in 1975. It is noteworthy that during the USSR the Batumi Dolphinarium was the only one. It was this institution that provided tourist attraction not only to Batumi, but to the whole region. Surprisingly, the popularity of the Dolphinarium was such that until now it is considered to be a visiting card of the city, and the dolphin is its symbol. Unfortunately, in the 90s the funding was reduced and the Dolphinarium was closed. But now it has been reconstructed, a hall for 703 visitors has been created; special places for people with disabilities have been opened.
Presentations take place in a modern water-entertainment complex in the open air. The pool is decorated with scenic scenery creating an atmosphere of wildlife. The auditorium looks like an amphitheater, protected from the sun and weather by an elegant glass dome. According to the data of 2011, the dolphinarium is inhabited by 15 dolphins and 4 seals. They demonstrate amazing beauty and complexity of the room.
Working days: every day, except Monday.
