University of Higher Technologies

University of Higher TechnologiesThe University of Higher Technologies is one of Saakashvili’s favorite projects in Batumi. The architect of the building of the American-Georgian Black Sea Technological University is the young Georgian David Gogichaishvili.

A two-hundred-meter building-tower could become the tallest skyscraper in the Caucasus. According the conception educational process for mastering, mainly computer science had to begin in 2013. All subjects were to be taught by the best professors from the West from Harvard, Oxford, Cambridge, Massachusetts Technological and other elite educational institutions. Naturally, the teaching was planned in English, with American-style diplomas. Local patriots assured that this university will stand in world rankings along with Oxford and Harvard. And therefore there is no need to go out to get the best higher education in the world.

In 2015, a high-rise 36-stored building was auctioned for $ 25 million under the business center. The building was purchased by the construction company RED-Co (RealEstateDevelopmentCompany), owned by CelwoodInvestmentLimited. A company registered in Belize in Central America. The facility will be converted into a 5* hotel. With a swimming pool, fitness club, spa, restaurants and a conference room. For reconstruction, the company will invest an additional $ 15 million.

A panoramic ferris wheel with 8 capsules was built for tourists on the 27th floor of the skyscraper. From here you can admire other sights of Batumi. Since the construction, the wheel worked once for Mikhail Saakashvili.
