Chachuna managed reserve is located in the extreme South-Eastern part of chachu on the border of Georgia with Azerbaijan, in the municipality of Dedoplistskaro. The total area of the reserve is 5200 hectares; the Reserve mainly represented desert and semi-desert flora and fauna. Riparian forests and arid landscape as well as the unity of the vegetation is accompanied by the diversity of the fauna of the reserve.
Here you can find Sands, sandstones, clays with layers of volcanic ash and gravelites. The relief of the reserve is not uniform. Clay hills, steep slopes, terraces and dry gorges quickly replace each other very much, and create beautiful landscapes. There are also special places for bird watching.
