One of the many great things about a trip to Georgia is that biggest cities is close enough for a day trip. You can step onto a train in the center of Tbilisi, speed through the all country and be in Batumi in less than 5 hours. So, if you don’t have time for a full weekend in Georgia but you fancy visiting our wonderful country, why not take a day trips from Tbilisi or Batumi?
Batumi – the city is so small you can see most of its historic places, parks and museums in one day. The Old Town, which is located in the middle of Batumi, is a pride of our city.
You can get to Kakheti in two hours. The city is famous for fine Georgian wine, but if you can stave off drinking until the afternoon there’s also plenty of monasteries and museums.
When the locals are friendly and beautiful, it’s hard not to fall in love with Tbilisi. It has a reputation as one of the most wonderful cities in Georgia.
