International Airport of Tbilisi named by Shota Rustaveli the one and only Tbilisi Airport located not far from the city.
“TAV Georgia” is affiliated company of “TAV Airports Holding”. Company begins commercial operations in 2005 and will further continue operations up to 2027 according an agreement. Airport reconstruction will be finished in February of 2007. New modern international terminal, parking, improve platform, taxiway strip and flight strip as well as load-handling equipment was purchased, branch railway line was built.
Airport area size is 25 square m where passengers are waiting in concourse as well as can visit many shops and other public place such as shopping centre Duty Free.
How to get to the Airport:
By taxi – taxi is waiting for passengers’ right to the entrance of airport. It will take you 20-30 min to get Tbilisi centre and the cost is agreed.
By bus – Bus N37 make 24hr trips between Airport and Tbilisi, the fare is 0.50GEL; in the afternoon bus go past once in 15-20min, at night once in 35 min.
By suburb train – railway station located 70m far from airways terminal. Departure on 08:45 and 18:05, arrival at Tbilisi railway station, journey time 25-30min, travel cost 0.50 GEL.
Airport shuttle service – the faster and favorable option to get to Tbilisi is transfer service. In advance you can pick up a car of suitable class and capacity; driver will meet at the airport with nameplate. Advance booking fare will be fixed and for example traffic won’t have impact. Fare starts from 30 GEL.
