Russian Church of St. Johnsonian the Theologian in Tbilisi is located in the centre of city, in the end of Kiacheli Street. It was built under the rule of Governor Grigori Golitsin in 1898-1901. It is considering that on that place in VII century stood main temple of St. Johnsonian monastery.
This traditional Russian Church of St. Johnsonian the Theologian built in suzdal style – white construction of bricks crowned with silver dome – bulbs, from the east and west there are doors.
Interior of church of St. Johnsonian the Theologian is in white-sky blue colors. Golden iconostasis is very beautiful. Church service is held both on Georgian and Russian.
